All-on-6 Dental Implants in Turkey
All-on-6 restores a full arch of teeth using six implants instead of four. The two extra implants spread the chewing load across more anchor points, giving extra stability and support — which makes it a strong choice for patients who want maximum strength or who have more bone available to work with.
For UK and European patients with extensive tooth loss, All-on-6 delivers a fixed, natural-looking result that feels close to natural teeth. At GD Smile Studio in Istanbul, treatment is digitally planned and every implant carries a lifetime guarantee.
Why six implants instead of four?
The principle is the same as All-on-4 — a fixed bridge anchored on implants — but two additional implants change how the load is shared. With six points of support, biting forces are distributed more evenly across the arch, which can mean:
- Greater stability for strong chewers
- Better support for a longer bridge
- Load spread across more anchor points
- A solid option when more bone is present
All-on-6 vs All-on-4 — which is right for you?
Neither is “better” in every case — the right choice depends on your bone, your bite and your goals. Here’s how they compare:
| All-on-4 | All-on-6 | |
|---|---|---|
| Implants per arch | 4 | 6 |
| Stability | Excellent for most patients | Extra support & load distribution |
| Bone needed | Works with less bone | Needs a bit more bone volume |
| Best suited to | Standard full-arch cases | Strong chewers / more demanding bites |
| Cost | More economical | Slightly higher (two more implants) |
Not sure which suits you? Your X-rays tell us how much bone you have — we’ll recommend the option that gives you the best long-term result. See our All-on-4 page to compare.
Who is a candidate for All-on-6?
- Adults missing most or all teeth in a jaw
- People with loose or unstable dentures
- Those wanting maximum chewing strength
- Patients with adequate jawbone volume
In some cases a minor bone graft or sinus lift may be advised first — your scan confirms this. The simplest next step is a free assessment of your X-rays.
The All-on-6 procedure, step by step
Consultation & 3D planning
We review your X-ray or CT scan and plan implant positions digitally (DSD / CAD-CAM), so the outcome is visualised before treatment begins.
Placement of six implants
All six implants are placed into the jawbone in a single session under local anaesthesia, with IV sedation available.
Same-day temporary bridge
A fixed temporary bridge is attached the same day, so you leave with a working, aesthetic smile during healing.
Final permanent restoration
After healing, your custom-made permanent bridge is fitted, completing function and aesthetics.
The implant usually integrates with the bone over about 3 months. The first visit typically needs a stay of 5–7 days.
Safety & what to be aware of
All-on-6 is a well-established, predictable treatment, but like any surgical procedure it carries some risks. These are uncommon and are minimised by careful planning, sterile clinic conditions and an experienced surgical team. Possible complications can include infection, implant or crown issues, temporary sensitivity, or gum irritation; in rare cases, nerve or bone involvement. Implant failure is rare, and any concern is managed through your follow-up care and guarantee.
Recovery & aftercare
Most patients recover comfortably. Any mild swelling or tenderness in the first days is managed with prescribed pain relief, cold compresses, soft foods and rest. You’ll start on softer foods while the implants integrate, then return to a normal diet.
To get the longest life from your new teeth: brush and floss regularly, keep up your check-ups, avoid very hard foods, and cut down on smoking and excessive coffee or tea. For international patients we provide remote follow-up by WhatsApp, email or video call.
